(Cups Are REcyclable)
Dart Container's CARE (Cups Are REcyclable) Program provides larger, institutional customers with an integrated, cost-effective way to collect, densify, transport, and reprocess foam products in a foodservice environment.
•   Thousands of people recycle their foam cups daily through Dart's CARE Programs which serve dozens of locations.
•   The centerpiece of the program is Dart's DCH-260 densifier. The densifier turns 8,000 foam cups, about 40 pounds, into a cylinder 15 inches tall and 15 inches in diameter. Its larger hopper and faster operating speeds make foam recycling more convenient for high-volume foodservice operators.
•   The CARE Program also includes promotional materials, special collection devices, and back-hauling on Dart trucks to a reprocessing facility.
•   The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Solid Waste applauds the CARE Program as "precisely the sort of actions that we would like to see adopted throughout corporate America."
